Description: Iconic Campania red blend (80% Aglianico, 20% Piedirosso) from volcanic soils. The 2006 vintage shows deep black-fruit flavours overlaid with smoke, ash and graphite, supported by polished tannins and a very long mineral finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Complex aromas of black fruit (blackberries, plum), licorice, tobacco, volcanic ash, and hints of herbs and spice.
Palate: Full-bodied with ripe, polished tannins. Flavors of dark cherry, plum, cassis, with notes of earth, leather, and a distinct minerality.
Finish: Long, persistent, and elegant, with lingering notes of fruit, spice, and minerals.
